H.E.R.O; horse education and rescue organization, is taking on a new fund raising project.

Advertising is the most important step to getting our new fund raiser program up and running.

There are just a few basic steps to get started.

 

1.PROMOTE our program with free advertising materials. They include posters, full color flyers, letter and email templates.

 

2. COLLECT empty inkjet and laser printer cartridges and used cell phones. Let supporters know that they can either drop off items OR we will come and pick them up.

 

This program works by earning points for the qualifying cartridges and phones. One point is equal to 40 cents. This will not bring in major corporate money but it will be a source of steady income for HERO. We will make money only if we are willing to promote and collect the items. This can be as simple as setting up a box in an office or business or contacting various groups such as the girl scouts, boy scouts, equine clubs, church groups; etc. to sponsor a program for us. Schools often have students that need to earn community service hours or need a community service project. Letters will need to be mailed out advertising our program so that they may take advantage of this service.

 

How can you help? Find business supporters. These are companies or individuals that will collect and donate the above listed items to benefit HERO. They can either receive the same collection boxes with prepaid shipping and send them in or they can collect and ask us to pick them up.
