Spirit's Mother, Daphne had to be euthanized on April 30, 2009. She suffered an injury during foaling, and was not able to recover. She was a sweet pony evidently bred to a full size horse and was able to give Spirit his start, but not stay with him. One of our dedicated volunteers has taught him how to behave and  hand raised him making him very friendly and easy to handle.
