We realize that not every person has the capability to take actual ownership of an equine but would love to help our furry four-legged friends out and have a horse, mule, or donkey to call their own. The answer is Virtual Adoption!

What is virtual adoption? It costs approximately $20.00 a day to rehabilitate an 1100 lb horse not including special needs care. On the average we may spend up to $2000.00 on every equine that enters our program with the minimum standard of care.

Included routine care:

Farrier: $35.00 for hoof trimming every 4-8 weeks

Equine dentist fees: can range from $100.00 to $150.00

Routine deworming: $5.00-$12.00 every 8 to 12 weeks. This does not include the initial deworming with a cost of approximate $50.00 when equines enter our care.

Vaccines: variable rates twice yearly at a minimum

Fly spray: $12.00 $24.00 a bottle

Virtual equine adoption allows sponsors to adopt an equine for a specified time by submitting a donation to be spent on a specific animal. The “adopter” will be able to follow that particular animal’s progress through visual reports in written format with pictures. The adopter or adopters will have their names placed on our website under their equine’s picture. Once the equine is adopted out to a permanent home the virtual adopter will have the option to keep updated on their progress. Virtual adopters may opt to sponsor more than one animal in need. You can be a virtual adopter by simply picking out the equine you would like to help and then designating your funds for a specific purpose. For example, if you would like to sponsor the hoof care during the animal’s stay with us, you would send the fees required. If you choose to send a specific amount per month or week for all around care you may do that as well. We make owning your virtual equine as easy as possible.

Amounts of donations can be in weekly fees of $5.00 increments.
